C: Mommy, what animals are nocturnal?
Me: Well, bats... owls... raccoons...
C: Raccoons are not animals.
Me: What? Of course they're animals.
C: No, they don't have mouths.
Me: ???????

We have transitioned so quickly to speaking mostly English... :'(
