Haha I just got a phone call from a Chinese survey company in my dorm at PKU. I picked up the phone and she said a mouthful of Chinese, including something about a satisfaction survey. I replied that I'm studying abroad and that I didn't understand about half of what she said. Apparently my Chinese is really bad, because she was like (in Chinese), "Oh, this will only take a few minutes of your time, if you don't mind," and then she said something about the Olympics. So I was like sure, whatever. And then she asked me if this is my home number, and I was like, "It's the phone number for my dorm room." And she said, "Dorm?" in a very disdainful voice. "Suan le."

*click*

And I hung up too, thinking, isn't that what I told you in the first place?
