Main Entry: [1]eat
Pronunciation: 'Et
Function: verb
Etymology: Middle English eten, from Old English etan; akin to Old High German ezzan to eat, Latin edere, Greek edmenai
Date: before 12th century
1 : to take in through the mouth as food : ingest, chew, and swallow in turn

People often skip the second step. Chew your food, nice and easy. Eating should be relaxed affair, not something that you do out of grudging necessity, annoyed that it takes away from your studying time. Do you take time to stop and enjoy the food that you eat? (Okay, college students, I concede that eating may not be as enjoyable for you. But what about home cooking?) Do you even think about it? The tastes and smells that are associated with eating... what a marvelous thing God has built into our bodies. Take more time to eat. Think about something random... thinking helps digestion. Unless you think about the wrong thing, in which case thinking is detrimental to digestion. Eating is your time to think. If someone tries to talk to you, just put food in your mouth, chew, smile, and nod politely. Enjoy it.

Look sir, droids!
